I began practicing yoga over 20 years ago as a college elective. My first teacher, Holiday Johnson, is one of Portland's yoga pioneers and the same teacher my mom practiced with before I even knew what yoga was. Always active and athletic, yoga became my recovery exercise for many years. After a family vacation to Mexico in 2013, I was inspired to enroll in an RYT 200, which I completed in 2013. I recently completed my RYT 500 as well. As a personal trainer, spin and circuit class instructor, yoga teacher, AND and mom of two, I recognize the importance of balance in both the physical and mental body. I bring a strong, powerful, yet approachable flow to my classes which provide grounding and a sweet balance between body and mind. I believe in mindful sequencing and practicing for longevity. I want my body to feel as good at 80 as it does at 40. I am truly lucky to study, practice, and teach with inspiring teachers in Portland whom have become friends and mentors.
